My dark denim jeans stained my tan leather seats.....How do I get if off?
You have what is known as dye transfer. Try LTT Maxi Cleaner which was formulated especially for this problem and is easy to use.
DO NOT use solvents of any kind yourself as you will remove the finish and/or pigment which will need replacing.
If Maxi Cleaner does not remove it you will need to call a qualified technician who will have stronger products to use and will be able to recolour it if necessary.
The dye transfer is not harmful to the leather but looks unsightly. To help inhibit this from happening in the future use a good water based leather protector (LTT Leather Protect or Ultra Protect) which acts like a scotchgard.
