Anybody know how the outer thigh muscle is connected to the uterus?
My upper outer thigh was damaged by a car door opening onto me as I rode past on a moped. I suffered a very large haematoma and apparently the thigh muscle was severed. Consequently, whenever I have used and taxed the muscle, after about 10-15 minutes, I get extremely painful, similar to labour pain contractions that last between 5-15 minutes depending on the extent of the overstrain. I have been unable to find a doctor who can answer this puzzle. The gynaecologist read the referral from my doctor (who had written that the pains were weak! I had described them just as I have here!) and more or less dismissed me as an attention-seeking hypochondriac as did the neurologist who tested for damage to the nerveways with a little rubber hammer. This problem is driving me nuts. It also contracts after something which I'm not allowed to discuss here. Can anyone please help?

I'm sorry to hear of your injury. As a pre-med major, I will say that your uterus and thigh are NOT connected. It could very well be that due to the extreme damage to the thigh muscle, the other muscles in your body are working overtime. Muscles pain sometimes come off as an actual pain in the organ. That I know from personal experience!
I honestly believe you should consult a physical therapist and NOT an OB and/or neurologist! Good Luck
